Production quality:

-Animation:
The animation is modern, smooth, and easy-on-the-eyes. The colors were vibrant and the effects were clear. The animation is very similar to the style of Kotoura-san.
Animation Rating: 3.5/5 (B) Modern and easy on the eyes.

-Sound:
I found the sound to be energetic, catchy, and entertaining.
Sound Rating: 3.5/5(B) Fun and relaxing.

Overall Production Rating = 3.5/5 (B)

Pros, Cons, and Other Thoughts:

-Pros:
• Great characters
• Good humor
• Fun show

-Cons:
• The brother needs more screen time.
• Mayura Momouchi is just a smiling tool to advance the a few scenes. Also she feels self inserted by the author.
• One build up point as to what-was-who never was made clear.

-Other Thoughts:
I had a dog-gone great time watching this T.V. series, OVAs, and music video.
What hooks me into the show are the characters and the hi-jinks they pursue.
Mashiro looks like a way younger version of Musubi from Sekirei.
Benio obviously looks like Orihime from Bleach, but Benio is more likable.
Kobeni looks like an older Komugi from Nurse Witch Komugi.
Neesie (too common), sasquatches (big foot, yeti, or sassy), tsundere aliens, and other modern mythical monsters are referenced.
I like the fact that the character’s ages are believable. Seeing their behaviors like a pointless white lie or being shy about a new relationship totally reminds me of the follies of youth. I could relate with Hakuya because when I was sixteen I was silent in class, had trouble coming up with words to communicate in a conversation, and kept stubbing my foot/toes everywhere as I walked at home especially on my bed rails.
It’s nice to see a new “Arranged Marriage Romance” show, but it wasn’t as chaotic as Ranma 1/2.
The episode structure was very similar to No-Rin/Nourin.
Ova 1 is a hot springs episode.
Ova 2 gives some back story to Nadeshiko and why Hayuka doesn’t have a “fondness for sweets.”

*Pro’s, Con’s, and Other Thoughts Rating: 3.5/5 (B)

Engaged to the unidentified eye catches

Overall ratings:
  • Plot: 3/5 (C) I enjoyed the plot for the most part but one build up point as to what-was-who never was made clear.
  • Performance: 4/5 (B) I enjoyed the voice work and how the characters.
  • Pace: 3.5/5 (B) Fun paced and never dragged.
  • Characters: 3.5/5 (B) The characters were the show.
  • Production Quality: 3.5/5 (B) Animation: Möe-tastic!!! Sound: Groovy Love Song.
  • Pro’s, Con’s, and other thoughts: 3.5/5 (B).
  • Overall total: 3.5/5 (B) I had a very pleasant experience with this show.

Note: Due to my own belief and further defining anime as a pop art, no rating will ever receive a 0, 1, or 5 (a Z, F, or A in my book). For this reason is that times will change as opinions. Anything can be far greater or worse than before. That’s just human triumph and error.

Kobeni evil laugh

What was needed?
  • A second season of this show needs to be made or at least be put into production.
  • A release date needs to be announced in the U.S.
  • The Manga released in the U.S.
Demographic:

+13 Seinin
Some may see Benio’s actions to be extreme, but I don’t think it’s that bad. In high school, I have seen other girls do the same thing to their cousins or sisters to play or get on their nerves. She does look after her sister and means well.

Similars:

• Doki Doki School Hours
• Okami-san and Her Seven Companions
• Kotoura-san

Brew:

This is the first time of me mentioning, but not the first time an anime series has practice this type of marketing. Cherry Arai has cooperated with the Hanaharu Shuzo brewing company in stylizing/creating the labels of the Moeshu brand of sake. He made at least three of the Sake brands.
